GeoThermal Heating & Cooling, How does it work?

Pipes such as polyethylene or HDPE are installed underground, and water is circulated round trip from the indoor GeoThermal heat pump through the pipe loops and back. The circulating water brings heat to the house for heating and brings the heat back to the ground for cooling. Sun-Aire installed GeoThermal heat pumps are engineered to provide heating and cooling using the underground pipe loops. This modern technology has been available and successfully used for over 60 years. GeoThermal heating and cooling have been used for thousands of years in a much simpler way, caves.  At the correct location, caves provide a constant year-round temperature and have been lived in by generations of different cultures around the world.
